Description
This fish specimen, found off the shore of Papua New Guinea is the holotype specimen for Atrobucca adusta. A holotype is the single type specimin upon which the description and name of a new species is based.

It is commonly known as the scorched croaker, and is found in the South West Pacific. It is known only from two specimens.
