Description
This marsupial specimen is the holotype for the species "Sminthopsis douglasi". A holotype is the single type specimen upon which the description and name of a new species is based.

It is otherwise know as the Julia Creek dunnart. The marsupial is found in a small area in Queensland, Australia. This is a near threatened species.
