Description
This bird specimen is a syntype for the species "Xanthotis flaviventer visi", otherwise known as the Tawny-breasted Honeyeater. A syntype is a specimen in a series or collection of specimens upon wich the description and name of a new species is based, where there is no designated holotype.

This bird is found in Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, and Australia. It lives in tropical and subtropical lowland forests.
